The track was released digitally, but also has physical versions on vinyl and cassette tape. In the disc version, the song will be a “double single” on Side A with a remix of Love Me Do, from 1962, the group’s first song. The choice was described as a “truly fitting full circle”.

The band’s news for November doesn’t end with Now and Then, as the British group will also release expanded and updated editions of two of the band’s albums. In addition to John’s vocals, the track includes George playing guitar in 1995. The remaining members made new recordings, including a new Harrison-inspired solo and backing vocals. The two commented on the emotion they felt when working on the track.
“There was John’s voice, crystal clear. It’s quite exciting. And we all played it, it’s a genuine Beatles song,” Paul said in a statement. “It was the closest we came to having him back in the room, so it was very emotional for all of us. It was as if John was there”, added Ringo.
