Days after his house was robbed in São Paulo, Mariana Rios reported to his followers that he was the victim of a scam. According to the presenter, someone tried to impersonate her on a messaging app. “I didn’t change my number! Stay tuned!”, she warned this Wednesday (1st).

Mariana posted a print of the conversation between one of the criminals and another person. In the text, it is possible to confirm the request to save the new cell phone number, supposedly assigned to the actress: “I changed my number. Save my new contact. I called by accident, I was saving the contact.”

This type of fraud has become very common. The criminals use someone’s identity to borrow money from their contacts, claiming that there is a problem with the bank’s application and that when resolved, they will return the amount.

At the end of last month, Mariana had her house robbed and a loss of more than R$100,000, as all her designer bags, jewelry and money were taken. “A coffin doesn’t have a drawer. The rings go, the fingers remain, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to steal from you what you’ve achieved”, lamented the singer at the time.
