Bolsonarists boycott Piracanjuba and create a pro-Ninho campaign; brands are from the same manufacturer:
The dairy brand Piracanjuba has been the target of boycott by Bolsonarist groups. Supporters of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) used social media to propose a boycott of the company from Goiás, after an advertising campaign with the singer Ivete Sangalo.
The Bahian has been the brand’s poster girl since 2019. The reason for the boycott is that Ivete frequently criticizes Bolsonaro’s management and declared her support for the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the 2022 elections.
Videos circulating on X (formerly Twitter) show Bolsonaristas encouraging the exchange for milk Childfrom the Nestlé. What perhaps many “patriots” have not noticed is that both brands are produced by the same manufacturer, owner of Piracanjuba.
In 2019, Nestlé, owner of the Ninho brand, signed an agreement with Bela Vista Dairy for the production and distribution of long-life milk in Brazil. The manufacturer Bela Vista owns Piracanjuba.
“I just saw that Bolsonaristas are boycotting Piracanjuba and telling them to buy milk from Nestlé. A basic search would avoid being so embarrassed,” wrote a profile on X.
The agreement between Nestlé and Bela Vista includes the licensing of the Ninho and Molico brands in the liquid milk segment. The licensing term is ten years. (Check out one of the boycott videos)
O Earth contacted Laticínios Bela Vista to find out about the impact of the boycott on Piracanjuba products, but so far has not received any answers. The space remains open.
