“I posted talking about it, but I had also made videos, with a lot of anger, and ended up not publishing it. It’s a ridiculous step backwards. I always think it’s a big smokescreen for other stupid things that happen in this country. I was sad to receive messages from people afraid of their marriage being annulled, of not being able to get married, and of not being able to be with the person they love. The community sees me as a superhero. But I hope things change, they are trying to take away our right to love” .
Pabllo also praises Anitta, says he is inspired by the career of the “girl from Rio”, and tells her ritual for every birthday:
Cleansing bath – “It’s a tradition, to ring in the new year, to take a rosemary bath to remove everything that is bad, and attract positive things. I really believe in energy. I always share with the universe what I want for the next year. I ask, I thank you, and that’s it, that’s my birthday ritual.”
Success – “I never imagined being where I am today, but I always wanted to. I played a lot for the universe. And then God said: ‘I’m going to answer this queer soon, she asks me every day’. I’m happy to have made many dreams come true, and I want to make them come true several others. Even though our life is made up of ups and downs, I truly feel that I have achievements.”
‘Pabllo, do something’ – “I don’t like to think that the responsibility of inspiring other people is solely in my hands. I have friends who also work and give voice [para a comunidade LGBTQIA+]. As much as they always joke ‘Pabllo, do something’, we have other inspiring people. And we have come a long way to not lose hope now. I hope that in 30 years we will have advanced much further.”
