Spanish singer Julio Iglesias Junior, son of fellow singer Julio Iglesias, has been embroiled in controversy since the announcement of his relationship with Brazilian model Vivi Di Domenico.

At an event for jewelry brand “Ghost” in Madrid, Spain, Domenico was revealed by Iglesias to have a silver cloth with the figure of a ghost drawn on it removed from above her. The couple kissed afterwards. The act, held last Thursday, the 17th, was considered sexist and similar to a girlfriend reveal tea.

On social networks, several criticisms were made of the couple for assuming the relationship in a scene of objectification of the woman in an advertising event. Opinions about the model’s consent to allow herself to go through the situation were also shared.

Vivi and Julio have been together for six months. She is 30 years old and was born in the interior of Paraná, in Santo Antônio do Sudoeste. The Brazilian model, who lives in Mexico, has been posting photos with the singer for a few months now. Before dating Vivi Domenico, Iglesias, is 49 years old and was married for 12 to Spanish model Charisse Verhaert, 40.

The couple has not yet publicly commented on the repercussions of the episode.
