This Saturday, São Paulo will meet the two champion teams of the 2023 São Paulo Favela Cup. The two games, from the women’s and men’s tournaments, will be played at the Canindé stadium, from Portuguesa, and both will be broadcast by Globo throughout the state of São Paulo .
The women’s final will be broadcast from 2:05 pm. Paraisópolis team will seek their second title against Favela Campanário Diadema.
The men’s decision will take place next, starting at 3:40 pm. Favela Campanário Diadema faces Cidade Tiradentes in the final – last year, Favela Jardim Ibirapuera was the champion.
Canindé will host the finals for the first time. In 2019, they were played at Pacaembu, and last year, at Arena Barueri – in 2020 and 2021, the tournaments were not played during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The men’s final will also have another attraction: Portuguesa, who is in the elite of the Campeonato Paulista, will sign a contract with the best player in the competition.
Favela Cup: Paraisópolis tries for second women’s title
The girls from Diadema beat Favela Vila Nascente to reach the final. Paraisópolis passed through the Parque Santo Antônio Complex. In the men’s category, Diadema beat Favela Cai-Cai in the semis and Cidade Tiradentes beat Complexo Jardim Irene.
