Monovalent and bivalent vaccines are available, which are applied as determined by the Ministry of Health and by age group
Campos Shopping, located in the central area of the city, will once again be a reference for vaccination against Covid-19 starting this Friday (17). In addition to this point, there are 10 others distributed throughout the municipality. The Roberto Silveira Bus Station ended its vaccination activities on Thursday (16).
“Vaccination sites are adjusted, whenever necessary, to better serve the population. The municipality is making monovalent and bivalent vaccines available, which are applied as determined by the Ministry of Health and indicated by age group”, reinforces the coordinator of the Immunization sector, at the Municipal Health Department, Amanda Carvalho.
This Friday’s schedule includes the application of three doses of Pfizer Pediatria for children aged between 5 and 11 years, 11 months and 29 days. The interval is eight weeks between the 1st and 2nd dose. The 3rd dose, which is the booster of the vaccine, must be carried out four months later. All children must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians.
People over 12 years old can receive the 1st dose of the Pfizer Adult vaccine. For those who will receive the 2nd dose and are between 12 and 17 years old, the interval is 2 months. For those over 18 years of age, the deadline is 30 days.
For those who will receive the booster dose with the bivalent vaccine, they must have taken at least two doses of the monovalent vaccines: Coronavac, Astrazeneca or Pfizer, at least four months ago.
At the time of vaccination, it is necessary to present a document with photo, CPF and proof of residence. In the case of children and adolescents, a vaccination record is mandatory. People who will receive the 2nd dose and the bivalent booster must present the Covid-19 vaccination card, which contains the doses previously received.
IMPORTANT – Amanda Carvalho explains that the application of the Pfizer Baby vaccine, which is used to vaccinate children aged 6 months to 4 years, is suspended due to a lack of doses in stock. As soon as the municipality receives a new shipment, immunization will resume.
