Covid-19 updates in Angra dos Reis
From January 1, 2020 until 3pm this Friday (November 17, 2023), the municipality of Angra dos Reis presented 130,590 reported cases. At the moment, there are 30,221 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Of these, 29,573 have recovered. There are 26 confirmed cases of active Covid (last two weeks).
Angra accounts for 622 deaths from the disease, and no deaths are under investigation. There are 88,078 suspected cases (flu-like syndromes). With the deactivation of the Covid-19 Reference Center, the Japuba Municipal Hospital (HMJ) and the Praia Brava Hospital continue to be available to treat cases of hospitalization due to Covid-19. There are currently no hospitalized patients.
Among the indigenous people of the municipality, there are 273 confirmed cases. Of these, 272 have already recovered, and one
death was caused by the disease. There are no suspected cases among indigenous people at the moment.
According to Municipal Decree N 12,518, of March 14, 2022, the use of a face mask remains mandatory in all health care units in the municipality. Furthermore, the use of a face mask is recommended for people with comorbidities and flu-like symptoms, immunosuppressed and unvaccinated people.
