Festival of Nations in Birigui will feature cuisine from 8 countries and artistic attractions on both days

The Festa das Nações de Birigui, which will be held this Friday (10/11) and Saturday (11/11), from 6pm, at the “Anderson Pontes” Convention and Events Center, will feature cuisine from eight different countries. Entry is free, but visitors are being asked to help donate a kilo of non-perishable food, except salt, to the municipality’s Social Solidarity Fund.

The event, which after a window of three without being held due to the covid-19 pandemic, is organized by Secultur (Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism) and will have the proceeds donated to charitable entities in the municipality.

In addition to the diverse cuisine, cultural presentations, a mini-kart track in partnership with the Speed ​​Park, and an inflatable amusement park for children are also planned.

“This is a festival long awaited by our population, so we took care to prepare attractions for the whole family”, explained the municipal secretary of Culture and Tourism, Mário Bonfim.

“We have 12 different institutions participating, each of them will bring one or more different dishes, so that visitors to the Festa das Nações can travel, through gastronomy, through different nations”, added the deputy secretary of Secultur, Giuliano Freitas.

Singers and musicians Leandro Souza (7pm to 8:45pm) and Lucas Timotti (9pm to 10:45pm) will be on the main stage of the event on Friday (10/11). On Saturday (11/11), it will be the turn of singer and musician Paulinho Farias (9pm to 10:45pm).

Empreendedor Mirim (Polícia Mirim) – Brazil: fried chicken; French fries.

Apae (Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional) of Birigui – Japanese/Asian: pastry (meat; pizza and cheese).

Anjo Animal Institution – Japanese/Asian: yakissoba.

Rotary Club of Birigui XIX de Abril – Portugal: snack with Portuguese sausage; Fried ball of cod; Belém pastry.

Rotaract Club of Birigui – Spain: country paella; wild potatoes; mini Churros.
