Juliette participated in the program TV Casa Felizshown on Portuguese broadcaster SIC this Thursday (09.05) and spoke about the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul. During her presence, she highlighted that she has been studying a way to contribute with donations and took the opportunity to also ask for help.
“I want to say something very important here… Now, Brazil is going through a very complicated situation in Rio Grande do Sul. There is already a mobilization in Portugal collecting donations. I’m trying to understand the best way possible”, she began.
Then, she states that she is looking for a plane to take donations from the Portuguese country to Brazil. “I’m even trying to get a plane to take donations from Portugal to Brazil. We really need it. I don’t have certain information right now, but go to my Instagram, I’ll post about where to donate, what to donate and how to donate and I’m looking for a plane. If anyone has one, talk to me”, he highlighted. “I think it’s important to speak here because I’m here and my people are with me,” she concluded.
Last Wednesday, the tragedy caused by the rains in Rio Grande do Sul reached the number of 100 deaths confirmed by Civil Defense across the state. This is already considered the biggest natural disaster in the state’s history by authorities. There are still 130 people missing, in addition to more than 1.4 million residents directly affected by the storm.
