In a duel between heiresses, Cristiane Cardoso wins more Ibope than Silvio Santos’ daughter

For more than a decade on Saturday afternoons on Record, The Love School has become competitive in terms of audience: benefiting from the good ratings left by Fala Brasil and with the rejection of the majority of viewers to the new schedules of SBT’s programming, the program led by Renato and Cristiane Cardoso started a disputed clash with its rival for second place in audience ratings in the midday period. This time, the channel’s heiress not only beat Raul Gil, but also won more ibope than Silvia Abravanel, daughter of Silvio Santos.

The consolidated audience data for Greater São Paulo, obtained by the Pop TV with market sources, reveal that Saturday’s The Love School (4) came in second place in its entire time slot, with an average of 2.5 points, against 2.2 scored by SBT, which broadcast the end of Luccas Toon and the Raul Gil Program. Renato and Cristiane Cardoso’s program had more viewers than its rival accumulated throughout the day — taking into account the 24-hour average, Silvio Santos’ broadcaster recorded two tenths less than the couple’s.

What do you need to know

  • Shown earlier, Jornal Nacional (19.1) had its second worst Saturday of 2024;
  • With a peak of 22.4 points, Madonna – The Celebration Tour in Rio (17.0) stood out on Globo’s night;
  • Exceptionally extended until 9pm, Jornal da Band (3.2) secured third place in audiencein front of SBT.

With The Love School’s second place alone, Record managed to place practically all of its commercial programming in second place: the broadcaster was only surpassed by SBT during Brasil Caminhoneiro, defeated by Sábado Animado by 1.0 to 1.3 points average, and in the reality show A Grande Conquista 2, once again won by Virginia Fonseca, this time by 2.8 to 3.2 average points. Even Super Tela, with the little-known film Kidnapping in Space, managed to beat the Baú man’s broadcaster by a tenth of a difference (2.2 x 2.1).

Cristiane Cardoso, by the way, was the heir to the channel with the highest audience on Saturday: in addition to surpassing Silvio Santos’ channel while it was on air, The Love School was watched more than Sábado Animado. Commanded by Silvia Abravanel, the SBT program did not exceed 1.9 points on average between 6am and 11:14am, being responsible for the channel’s second worst performance throughout the day, ahead only of the SBT News news program on TV (1.1 ). Record, at the same time, scored 2.5 with a concessionaire, Brasil Caminhoneiro and part of the news program Fala Brasil.

  • 2.5 points average, 4.5 peak and 6.9% share;
  • Vice-leader among open TV channels, ahead of SBT’s 2.2;
  • It had more audience than the daily average on Silvio Santos’ TV;
  • It scored 19% more Ibope than accumulated on the previous four Saturdays.
