Toninho Tornado is the actor and comedian who owns the catchphrase “calabreso”, used by Davi during an argument, in the early hours of this Thursday (February 1st), on Big Brother Brasil 24. The comedian who was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, He has more than 3 million followers on social media and has a habit of changing the gender of words to provoke people who fall for his pranks.

Tornado moved to the outskirts of São Paulo as a child and began working with humor in 1987. He first became known on television, on the João Kleber Program, on Rede TV, where he starred in pranks. Currently, the comedian continues with the jokes, but on the internet. He also performs comedy shows throughout Brazil.

It was on the web that he started to make waves when he replaced the letter A with O in everyday words and noticed that people were getting stressed.

The first time he used the joke was when he called a firefighter friend “delicious”. The comedian has also used expressions such as “mozzarello” and “lumbrigo”.

After accusations within the BBB that Davi had been fatphobic when he called Lucas Capoeira “calabreso”, Toninho Tornado joked about the situation on the internet and made an “official statement” about the meaning of the word:

“Calabreso is my catchphrase, people. Stop, calm down! Calabreso is an affectionate way, it’s ‘my’ catchphrase. Tornado tournament, we’re together, let’s go, BBB, it’s us”, joked Toninho in a video published on his Instagram profile.
