Ary Mirelle, who is 27 weeks pregnant, will need to undergo emergency surgery this Thursday (9/11). The influencer, who is expecting her first baby with João Gomes, informed her followers that she will have to undergo a uterine cerclage, a procedure to reinforce the cervix.
“I’m going to have to do an emergency cerclage because you have to do it right at the beginning of the pregnancy, at 12 weeks, and I’m already going on the 27th week. It’s a little more risky because the water could break, as it’s a procedure that pushes the water out”, she explained.
Ary also said that the procedure is a little risky, as it is being carried out late. “So, you have to do it at the beginning and as I’m doing it a little late, it’s a little risky. I’m not having such easy days, I’m feeling down. I’m leaving it in God’s hands, and everything will be fine,” she said.

João Gomes also seemed concerned when talking about the surgery. The singer will be at his bride’s side during the procedure and, therefore, postponed his professional commitments.
“Ary will need surgery because her cervix is low, the baby is very heavy and is at risk of being born at any moment. I don’t want her to be alone there, the baby might be born, so there’s no climate for CD. The baby is fine, the thing is the lap is too short and too heavy with the baby”, he said.
Ary Mirelle and João Gomes announced that they would become dads in June this year. In an Instagram post, they shared a photo cuddling together, holding a positive pregnancy test.
