Tallulah Willisone of the daughters of Bruce Willisupdated his father’s health status and reports on the diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia that the actor received in 2023. The previous year, he was also diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder that affects the ability to communicate.

“He’s the same, which in that respect I think I’ve learned is the best thing you can ask for,” Tallulah said while appearing on the show. The Drew Barrymore Show this Wednesday, 8. “I see love when I’m with him, and he’s my father and he loves me, which is really special,” he added.

Tallulah, who is a singer and is 29 years old, is Willis’ youngest daughter with actress Demi Moore, to whom he was married for 13 years. The two are also parents to Rumer, 35, and Scout, 32. The actor later married model Emma Heming, with whom he had two daughters: Mabel and Evelyn, aged 11 and 9, respectively.

The family revealed Willis’ dementia diagnosis in February with a joint statement. At the time, they explained that “communication problems are one of the symptoms of the illness that Bruce faces” and said that “although this is painful, it is a relief for us to have a clear diagnosis.”

This Wednesday, Drew Barrymore asked Tallulah why the family decided to be so open about the diagnosis. “Well, I think there are two reasons. On one hand, it’s who we are as a family, but it’s also really important for us to spread awareness [sobre a doença]”, replied the singer.

According to her, they knew nothing about the condition before Willis was diagnosed. “And part of what has been a really beautiful way of healing from this is becoming a kind of ‘archaeologist’ of my father’s world, of his little trinkets and objects,” she added.
