11 years ago, Luiza Rabello accidentally became one of the first memes on the Brazilian internet — at a time when the term “going viral” didn’t even exist. Absent in a commercial starring her father, journalist Gerardo Rabello, and his family, she was successful with the phrase “except Luiza, who is in Canada”. The unexpected attention left her needing therapy.

This Sunday (5), Domingo Espetacular went after Luiza to find out how much her life has changed since the fateful commercial. “To this day I still don’t have much idea or notion of what happened,” admitted the young woman.

She is currently 29 years old and is already a mother: a year and a half ago, José Pedro was born, the result of her marriage to David. Luiza lives in João Pessoa, the city where her family lived and where she returned after the success of the commercial — her exchange in Canada was cut short to deal with the repercussions.

“When I came back, I was a little disturbed, I went to therapy for many years, and I still do. I studied Architecture a little, because I didn’t know what to do, but I let my origins speak louder and took the entrance exam for Dentistry”, said Luiza, who followed in the footsteps of her mother, Patricia Rabello.

As a health professional, she also worked on Covid vaccination in Paraíba, and said that she is still recognized as “the Luiza of Canada”, but prefers to live in anonymity.

The heir, however, could threaten his plans to remain in the shadows. “Jose Pedro, my son, is very communicative, charismatic, my father-in-law even said: ‘This boy will beat Luiza from Canada, he will become more famous than her'”, he said.

Record asked if the young woman had returned to the North American country since the commercial, and she said yes – she traveled with her husband in 2016, before José Pedro was born. “We went, but just for a walk”, she minimized.
