A financial education It is one of the most sensitive and priority issues among those addressed by families. In fact, this should also be a subject covered in all schools.

It is from well-executed financial education that citizens become aware of their obligations to society in this very important area.

With this in mind, a woman called Samantha Bird developed a method, let’s say, curious, to encourage financial awareness in her three children.

In a video that went viral on TikTokSamantha explains that each of her children receives $6 a week as an allowance.

Of this total, children need to “pay” for their expenses, as a way of raising awareness about their duties.

“We charge $1 for rent, $1 for groceries, and $1 for ‘utilities’ on the first of every month,” the mother explained.

“I want them to feel a sense of responsibility and learn how to manage expenses in a safe environment now,” says Bird.

In another video, in which she talks more about her methods, the mother reveals that the allowance received by the children is a type of payment for activities carried out with success.

Samantha further explains that the money left over from “paying expenses” stays with her children so they can spend as they wish.

The methodology applied by the mother was called by experts “simple, but very powerful”, since, from beginning to end, it encourages children to value the money gain and manage it responsibly and intelligently.

Like any other content on the internet, Samantha Bird’s financial education method has also suffered some criticism.

To counter them, the mother made it clear that she conducts the entire process in the most fun way possible.
