Caixa Seguridade (CXSE3) ended the first quarter of 2024 with recurring net profit of R$924.3 million, 12.7% above that seen in the same period last year.
The company’s operating revenues were R$1.249 billion, growth of 25% compared to the same period in the previous year. Of this total, R$706.6 million came from the results of the group’s companies, an increase of 15.2% in one year. Another R$543.2 million came from commissioning, that is, from the distribution of products from investees in the Caixa network, a growth of 14.7% in one year.
The financial result was negative at R$7.3 million, compared to a positive result of R$15.2 million in the same period last year. According to the company, this drop is related to the increase in financial expenses “with shareholder remuneration in the amount of R$33.8 million, related to the monetary update on the amounts of dividends approved in 2023, paid in May 2024”.

There was also a drop in financial income due to the lower Selic rate.

The accident rate, considering all businesses, was 21.6% in the first quarter of the year, compared to 24.7% in the same period last year, that is, an improvement of 3.1 percentage points.
The company also announced the anticipation of R$840 million in dividends, which is equivalent to 90.9% of the adjusted net profit for the first quarter. This amount is equivalent to R$0.28 per share.
The amounts will be paid on August 15th for the shareholding base on August 1st.
