Blue (BLUE4)

Banco do Brasil (BBAS3)

Banco do Brasil is holding a meeting this Friday to approve the split of its shares, an operation that, in practice, will make the share price more affordable. The BBAS3 shares will be split in a ratio of 1 to 2.

Gerdau (GGBR4)

At 1:40 pm, Gerdau shares were up 2.72%. The team of analysts at Goldman Sachs raised its recommendation for Gerdau’s shares from “neutral” to “buy”. The target price is R$26.

Vale (VALUE3)

At 1:39 pm, Vale’s shares fell 1.60% to R$66.36. According to the blog of journalist Lauro Jardim, from O Globo, an extraordinary meeting of Vale’s board of directors will take place this Friday, which could decide the succession in command of the mining company. Still according to Lauro Jardim, the tendency is that the subject will not be exhausted at this Friday’s meeting. The 13 councilors will decide whether Eduardo Bartolomeo, president since 2019, will have another term. The fall in iron ore in China is also putting pressure on shares.

Petrobras (PETR4)

Raízen (RAIZ4)

Raízen (RAIZ4) announced that Raízen Power, its brand dedicated to renewable electrical energy solutions, and the Chinese company BYD, have signed a binding Memorandum of Understanding. The partnership will create “hubs” with the Shell Recharge solution in 8 capitals in Brazil, with 100% clean energy, “democratizing access to electric mobility”, highlights the statement.

Itaú (ITUB4)

Itaú issued Level 2 Subordinated Financial Bills worth R$1 billion. According to the bank, the issues in question aim to optimize the company’s capital structure in light of the growth of its assets. “The resources raised in the issuance of Letras Financeiras will be allocated directly and/or indirectly through its subsidiaries to reimburse costs and expenses directly related to the acquisition of a real estate project”, explained Itaú.

The shares will be traded ex-interest from February 7, 2024, inclusive .

Apple (AAPL33)

At 1:38 pm the BDRs (Brazilian Depositary Receipts – certificates representing shares) of Apple on B3 had a slight increase of 0.22% to 46.31. O Apple’s results were better than expected but sales in China fell. Apple’s board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.24 per share of the company’s common stock. The dividend will be paid on February 15, 2024 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 12, 2024.

Target (M1TA34)

At 1:38 pm, the BDRs of Meta, owner of Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, jumped 9.85%. The company reported net income of US$14.02 billion, or US$5.33 per share in the fourth quarter of 2023. The result was above analysts’ projections. Meta’s board of directors approved the payment of dividends in the amount of US$0.50 per share. Payment will be made on March 26th, based on the shareholding position on February 22nd. Meta stated that it intends to distribute earnings quarterly from now on.

Amazon (AMZO34)

At 1:38 pm, Amazon (AMZO34) BDRs rose 5.34%. Amazon reported net income of US$10.6 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023. Diluted per share, the company’s net profit was US$1. Amazon’s revenue expanded 14% in the fourth quarter, to US$170 billion.
