The Central Bank (BC) reported this Wednesday (8/11) that around R$7.3 billion are still available for redemption in the Values Receivable System (SVR). The SVR is a BC service in which it is possible to check whether individuals, even if deceased, and companies have any money forgotten in banks, consortiums or other financial institutions.

According to the BC, of the total R$7.3 billion, R$5.86 billion were “forgotten” by 38.2 million people – in this case CPFs – and R$1.46 billion belong to almost 3 million of CNPJs.

Of the redemptions, 63.43% are for low values, up to R$10. Between R$10.01 and R$100, they represent 24.92% and, between R$100.01 and R$1,000, 9, 9%. Above R$1,000.01, they add up to 1.75% of the total. {{#values}}{{/values}}

Amounts up to R$10.00 belong to 29.7 million people or companies. In the highest range, above R$1,000.01, there are 820,075 beneficiaries. According to the BC, there may be duplication in these contingents, because anyone who has something to receive in more than one range is counted more than once.

Until September, almost R$5.2 billion had been recovered by people and companies. In March, a single person redeemed R$328,000 from the SVR. The largest amount withdrawn was R$749 thousand.
