Coffee futures prices closed this Wednesday’s session (08) with valuations on the New York (ICE Future US) and London Stock Exchanges. The market ended the session supported by the reduction in coffee stocks monitored by ICE.
On the New York Stock Exchange (Ice Futures US), the December/23 contract ended with a gain of 360 points and is priced at 174.35 cents/lbp, while the March/24 contract ended with an increase of 260 points and is priced at 172 .10 cents/lbp. In the case of May/24, it ended with an appreciation of 235 points and was quoted at 172.20 cents/lbp.
According to information from Barchart, coffee prices rose in this Wednesday’s session with arabica registering a new high of 4 and a half months due to the reduction in ICE coffee stocks.
“Arabica coffee stocks monitored by ICE fell on Wednesday to 310,501 bags, the lowest level in 24 years. Meanwhile, Robusta coffee stocks monitored by ICE on Wednesday stood at 4,052 lots, modestly above the record low of 3,374 lots recorded on August 31,” Barchart reported.
Robust
In London, the November/23 contract recorded a gain of US$48 per ton, traded for US$2,598. January/24 ended with an increase of US$48 per ton and worth US$2,405. March/24 also appreciated by US$39 and was quoted at US$2,360.
Intern market
In the domestic market, coffee prices have little movement in the producing regions monitored by Notícias Agrícolas. In the case of Arabica coffee type 6/7, the price registered an increase of 2.30% in the Guaxupé/MG region and ended the day trading at R$890.00 per bag. In Franca/SP, the bag of coffee registered an increase of 2.25% and is priced at R$ 910.00, while in Varginha/MG the appreciation was 3.41% and is priced at R$ 910.00 per get it.
In the case of type 6 Arabica coffee, the price increased by 2.27% in the Poços de Caldas/MG region and is quoted at R$900.00 per bag. In Maringá/PR, a bag of coffee is being sold at R$840.00 per bag and increased by 1.20%. In the Campos Gerais/MG region, the price of coffee is quoted at R$ 922.00 and increased by 2.22%.
Peeled cherry rose 2.15% in Guaxupé/MG, where it is priced at R$950.00 per bag. In Varginha/MG, the price of coffee increased by 3.19% and is priced at R$970.00 per bag. In Campos Gerais/MG, the price of coffee increased by 2.08% and is quoted at R$982.00 per bag.
