The study also concludes that 82% of respondents prefer to buy in person and 18% buy online.
As for the place of purchase, 68% usually buy the material in super/hypermarkets, 19% in stationery stores (local commerce) and 13% say they prefer specialized stores or other types of places where these items are sold.
As for extracurricular activities, 47% intend to put their child/ren in two, 35% plan to put them in one activity only and 18% have three or more activities, with swimming and football being the most chosen sports by consumers. .
48% of respondents have a monthly family budget for support/explanations/activities between 50 and 100 euros, 27% choose to spend more than 100 euros monthly and 25% of the population intends to spend only up to 50 euros.
Also according to this study, 73% of respondents say that their children will attend public education, 24% mention private education and 4% cooperative education.
The sample of this questionnaire is composed of a universe of 75% female and 25% male. 46% are between 35 and 44 years old, 29% between 25 and 34 years old, 12% between 45 and 54 years old, with the youngest age group (18 to 24 years old) corresponding to 8% and 5% corresponding to consumers aged above 55 years. 64% of these consumers are located in the Greater Lisbon area, 22% in the Porto area and the remaining percentage is distributed throughout the country.
