If you went through Paulista Avenue Recently, you may have noticed that the road has become a kind of open air museum. This is because a new edition of the ‘Paulista Exhibition’ is already on display, an initiative that exhibits works free of charge for all the people of São Paulo, right on the cycle path of this important artery of the city.

This time, the proposed theme is ‘Work and Struggle’, featuring fifteen huge panels that discuss the history of labor rights in Brazil and around the world. Check it out below!

‘Paulista Exhibition’ reaches its 10th edition, under the theme ‘Work and Struggle’

In total, the Paulista cycle path will receive thirty panels by two visual artists. Firstly from Pernambuco living in SP, Derlonwhose work dates back to photopainting and to northeastern cordels, with traits that value traditional Brazilian culture. According to the artist, ‘Paulista Exhibition – Work and Struggle’ brings together a series that he has been working on for two years, which recalls the beginning of his career in art.

And then, the exhibition also reveals the works of the São Paulo native Marcelo Cipiswhich brings together painting, collage, drawing and sculptures for your artistic pursuits. The artist, who is also an architect, states that the exhibition covers “one of my passions, which is the poster on the street, something that can bring beauty and joy to the city”.

The works address fifteen topics related to workers’ rights, such as working hours, female work and the end of slave labor. The panels will be available to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a fully free.
