It is with her, in fact, that the Life&Art begins a series of retrospectives that will be published daily this week. From international events to great national successesthis artistic form accompanied and impacted each being in a different way.

The same can be seen, and heard, with the new transformations of already “old” songs, as was the case with “I’m the one who doesn’t want it” (2011), by Seu Jorge. The song conquered the music charts and the ears of young people of the current generation by receiving a remix in MTG (funk subgenre).

Music highlights in 2024: The return of Pop

If 2024 was the year of the return of 2000s trends, pop music, which dominated the charts at the beginning of the century, also made its triumphant return.

In May, when Madonna arrived in Brazil for a free concert at Copacabana waterfrontin Rio, Brazilians were able to witness a historic moment, which, of course, pleased many and upset others.

In addition to “Madame X”, new names emerged: Chapell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter e Roséartist known to K-pop fans with the group BlackPink. Popular in the 2000s, the band Linkin Park made its triumphant return in September, after a seven-year hiatus. With a new album and new vocalist, the band arrived in Brazil for two shows that filled the stadium in São Paulo.

Who also returned, to the surprise of fans, was the band Oasis – formed by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagherwhich, until then, are in a truce. In addition to solo shows, Brazil hosted numerous bands and groups at festivals.

At Rock in Rio, “Rock Day” was exciting with performances by Avenged Sevenfold and Evanescence. In March, Lollapalooza was responsible for bringing Blink-182, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Nothing But Thieves, Phoenix and Pierce the Veil.

Another notable moment in the performances was at the Elos Festival, in which I was able to participate representing forró and sing alongside divas of generations: Iara Pâmela, Bete Nascimento and Daniella Campelo.”
