Last Embraer E190 jet from the missing TAME leaves the airport in pieces and on trucks

The sale of the last two Embraer E190s from the Ecuadorian airline Tame EP was finalized after a national and international public sale process that began on December 15th. The fact was reported at the time by Ecuadorian aviation journalist Nicolás Larenas and covered by AEROIN.

With that step, all aircraft from the previous Ecuadorian flag carrier had been sold, allowing the liquidation of the company to take place, as well as some outstanding payments to suppliers and passengers who were still awaiting refunds for their tickets.

A total of two Quest Kodiak 100 and three Embraer 190 aircraft were sold, in addition to the return of several Airbus aircraft that the company operated under lease before its closure.

The final two Embraer E190s, with registrations HC-CGG and HC-CGF, were parked at Quito Airport and were acquired by the company RASG Consulting INC RP Jeffrey James Turk, after it presented the best economic offer among the four interested international companies.

RASG Consulting paid US$1,353,605 for the HC-CGF and US$1,205,490 for the HC-CGG, which represented a bid of $100,000 above the base appraisal value for each aircraft.

It was already expected that the acquired aircraft would not fly again and, instead, would follow the same dismantling process to which another Embraer E190 was subjected. Thus, the aircraft will be used as a source of spare parts for other Embraer aircraft around the world. Since they are not capable of flying due to the lack of engines and high maintenance costs.

The last copy was removed from Quito airport at the end of April and was shared by Nicolás Larenas on his social networks.
