Madeleine McCann’s disappearance turned 17 on Friday the 3rd. A vigil was organized for people to pray for the discovery of her whereabouts. According to the website MotetJulia Wendell, who claims to be Madeleine, appeared at the ceremony claiming, once again, to be the missing girl in Praia da Luz, in Portugal.

Last year, the young Polish woman, also identified with the surname Faustyna, aged 22, became world news when an Instagram page went viral with proof that she was Madeleine. A DNA test proved the story to be a lie. Julia’s own family repeatedly denied her theory.

“I’m Madeleine McCann. I never stopped believing and I came here because I want to ask Kate and Gerry to take a DNA test. They [Kate e Gerry McCann, pais da menina] They didn’t do anything to prove that I’m not their daughter,” said the woman, who added: “No, I’m not crazy. I am not a liar”.

Madeleine McCan, then 4 years old, disappeared from a hotel room in Praia da Luz, Algarve region, in Portugal, in 2007. Her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, left the girl and her twin brothers, aged 2, behind. alone in the room to have dinner with friends at a restaurant at the resort. When they returned, they saw that their daughter was no longer there.

The main suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance is the German known as Christian B, who is currently facing trial in his home country. He is accused of sexual crimes unrelated to the girl’s disappearance, but which took place between 2000 and 2017.
