Milhem Cortaz receives an invitation to participate in Claudia Souto’s soap opera – Behind the Scenes

Milhem Cortazguest of Portal R7’s “Programa de Todos os Programas” last Tuesday, confirmed having received an invitation from Globe to join the cast of the next soap opera Claudia Souto, which will occupy the 7pm slot, succeeding “Família é Tudo”. He considers the invitation a challenge, as he has never worked these specific hours.

Since his return to Globo in 2018, the professional has participated in several projects, including the series “Ilha de Ferro” and “Os Others”, and the soap operas “O Sétimo Guardião” and “Amor de Mãe”. Previously, he recorded several soap operas on Record, such as “Cidadão Brasileiro”, “Chamas da Vida” and “Poder Paralelo”.

Amaury Lorenzo and Jéssica Ellen will be the protagonists of Claudia Souto’s work, which will tell the story of characters whose lives intertwine after a traumatic episode on a bus. At the center of the plot will be a family company in the transport sector. According to the synopsis, the story will be “popular, urban and full of action”, following the style of the author’s other works.

The serial’s team led by André Câmara, who was the artistic director of “Amor Perfeito”, is already exploring possible locations. Ilha do Governador, in Rio de Janeiro, should be one of the main scenarios.

Claudia Souto’s soap opera was brought forward after the network’s decision to shelve “Conta Comigo”, by Mauro Wilson, which is making adjustments to the synopsis so that its production and exhibition can be fitted into the six o’clock slot.
