I have seen two themes circulating around in recent days. The latest is about a possible Resident Evil 9while the other talks about the development of a new live-action film inspired by resident Evil. It messes with the expectations of fans and websites/youtubers they have used this more to attract the public with speculation. They are good “baits”, I confess, but among the team I was against the REVIL jump on the bandwagon and treat it like news – because it isn’t.

Resident Evil 9
O REVIL There’s no news about that. In fact, our birds said that the Capcom has been quite cautious after what happened with Resident Evil Village. For those who don’t remember, in addition to the test leaks, gameplay in Japan, the company was the target of a criminal attack, which revealed the existence of the remake of resident Evil 4 before officialization. Additionally, other names of internal and in-development projects were leaked, including the names Resident Evil Outrage, Biohazard Apocalypse and Resident Evil Hank.

Killing everyone worked for Milla the Jovovich, but it left a lot of fans upset in the process. Another bad choice, for the same type of supposed development, was with Resident Evil: The Series. So, maybe, just maybe Capcom wouldn’t take his RE9 to the same hole. What exist are fallacies, no rumors, insideror source of anything involving an apocalypse story.
OK, but I said all that to get to the Dusk Golem guy. You know him from X (formerly Twitter) also as @AestheticGamer1. At the time of the leaks gameplays in Resident Evil Villageand also part of what happened with a Revelations 3, there was even a certain credibility in the information he passed on. Some whispers were strong enough even for the REVIL post what he said, but that was in the past. There is no reason to believe that he has more of the traffic that is suggested within the industry, but what the person says continues to be treated as true by many out there. Be suspicious.
Recently, the citizen came back to the surface and ended up feeding some websites/youtubers out there with “good news/rumors” of Resident Evil 9. That a new resident Evil exists on the horizon, it’s a fact and I’ve said it here countless times, now what and how it will be is up to Capcom. When the person, Dusk Golem, says he doesn’t want to give details about RE9, maybe he’ll give away his character there. It is someone who makes some assumptions, which even make sense, but are reflections that may be nothing more than just “guesswork”.
Therefore, be careful when believing what has been published by people who claim to be insider around. Do you know when it will be possible to believe any rumors again? When the Capcom develop tests with gameplay in Resident Evil 9 or another game. This ends up leaking. An announcement, of RE9 or not, will certainly happen before the end of the company’s current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025 – something I repeat here again, and it doesn’t even need to be defined as insider.

New Resident Evil live-action
The other topic that has been circulating around involves the insider Daniel RPK, the @DanielRPK on X. To his Patreon subscribers he posted that Screen Gems (Sony Pictures) is developing a new resident Evil. Daniel RPK is relevant and has even managed part of the cast Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City before the film was even announced. But I don’t see that this is very new news, that there is one more resident Evil live-action in development.
