Microsoft’s Redfall celebrated its first anniversary yesterday, May 2, but as with the launch, the timing is dividing the community. While some are celebrating a game they enjoyed discovering, others regret what happened and how Arkane Studios still hasn’t delivered some of the content they paid for.
Redfall was released on Game Pass, but those who want to buy the game had the option of opting for a Standard version or Bite Back, a 99.99 euro edition with several extras. Among this extra content are two new characters, which a year after launch have not even been introduced to players.
Following criticism of the state of Redfall at launch, Arkane has already released updates with fixes, new content and 60fps on Xbox Series X, but has not yet introduced the new characters. Not even on the first anniversary was a message shared with information about this content.
The last message from Redfall’s official social media account was on April 2, 2024, without any message to mark the anniversary, which is leaving the community to speculate whether there will be any type of surprise announcement with the content.
