After all the uncertainty surrounding the continuity of the partnership between Corinthians and Nike, which has lasted more than two decades, the launch of the new shirt – in addition to the Kit for the 2024/2025 season – formalized the continuation of this work. Timão also announced agreements with the Football Racial Discrimination Observatory and the Business-School Integration Center.

Last Thursday night (02), Parque São Jorge was the stage for a landmark event in the history of Corinthians: the launch of the new Corinthians shirt, and the promotion of initiatives to combat racism. The debut of the new uniform, in ‘blackout’ style, will be against Fortaleza, this Saturday (04), at the Neo Química Arena.

“We are committed to promoting equality and respect in all spheres, especially in sport, which must be a space of inclusion. That’s why we support organizations and people so that they feel empowered to fight against racism. We believe that football has a fundamental role in this process of change.”, said Gustavo Viana, Marketing Director at Fisia, Nike’s Official Distributor in Brazil.

According to the official Corinthians website, the motto – “Our History is a Page in Black” – is a collective call for the anti-racist fight. In addition to the launch of the official shirts, the campaign featured a manifesto film starring former player Wladimir, singer and rapper Negra Li, athletes from the current cast Wesley, Raniele, Yasmim and Ju Ferreira, former player Grazi, and student Anna Beatriz.

“The partnership between Nike and Corinthians to promote lectures on racism for professional squads and youth teams is extremely important. The greatness of these two institutions coming together in this awareness effort demonstrates a real commitment to promoting equality and combating racism, and we hope that this initiative inspires other organizations to follow the same path”, said Marcelo Carvalho, Director of ODRF.
