The funk player MC Daniel26 years old, revealed that he started spending a lot of money during his relationship with Honey Maia. At the time, expenses were so high that he was warned by his businessman that if he didn’t stop spending, he would become poor again.
The fankeiro admitted that he spent R$300 thousand per month of air tickets to go from São Paulo to stay with the actress in Rio de Janeiro. The same amount, according to him, was spent on New Year’s Eve.
“I went overboard. I spent more than I should have. I was dazzled and I lost it,” he said, in an interview with the podcast BrunetCast. MC Daniel and Mel dated between October 2022 and August 2023.
The singer’s record on spending money only dropped when he started receiving warnings from his mother and manager. The advice helped Daniel change his habits and stop spending.
The suggestion given by the businessman was that he start investing in buying and renting properties, so that he could have a fixed monthly income of R$100,000.
“And he said: ‘You have to stop spending. Wake up to life, you are not everyone’s father. You have to get up, earn your nest egg, and then help others on the street'”.
