MC Daniel revealed that he almost became poor again when he was dating Mel Maia, between October 2022 and August 2023. The funk singer said he was dazzled and started spending a lot of money on the relationship and with his friends.

The artist, who is in the cast of “Dança dos Famosos”, on “Domingão do Huck”, only became aware of his excessive spending after a conversation with his manager. “I extrapolated. I spent more than I should have. But my managers didn’t let me hang myself. I was dazzled and freaked out”, reported the singer during his appearance on the “BrunetCast” podcast.

MC Daniel said he spent R$300,000 during a New Year’s Eve party he spent with Mel Maia and his friends. “I spent R$300,000 on air tickets in my old relationship. It’s a lot and I could go by car or van. I could leave it for another day to spend time with my family. I was dazzled, silly,” he reported.

“My manager said: ‘You, in about three, six months, will have to sell your house and cars. You will be poor again. I said: ‘No, for God’s sake, what do I do?’ And he said: ‘You have to stop spending. You ask for R$10,000 every Friday and give R$40,000 a month to people on the streets,” said the singer.

Furthermore, he had to follow other instructions from his mother and his manager. “We have to stop spending. Wake up to life, you are not everyone’s father. You have to get up, make your nest egg and then help others on the street,’” he concluded.
