Bruce Dickinson concluded, last Saturday (4), a seven-date tour of Brazil. After passing through Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and Ribeirão Preto, the singer of Iron Maiden performed at Vibra, in São Paulo. The event was covered on the website IgorMiranda.com.br, to be published soon.

As already confirmed, the artist returns with Maiden in December, for two shows. Both presentations take place at Allianz Parque, also in the capital of São Paulo, on the 6th and 7th of December.

It seems like a lot of visits to Brazil in a short time, right? Even more so because Dickinson has been in the country other times in the last two years, with performances of her tribute to Jon Lord, lectures and participation in CCXP23 — all accompanied in loco by the report.

Still, you can already think about the possibility of requesting a CPF for Dickinson. According to reporter Rolf Amaro, who followed the performance on the website, the vocalist said, during the show on Saturday (4) in São Paulo, that he will return in 2025.

The tone adopted, of course, was one of mystery. Bruce did not specify whether he will return to shows or other types of commitments. He also offered no dates. However, he assured that he will be here next year and even joked that the return could be on the Vibra itself, “maybe in two nights”, suggesting that fans bring their friends.

No Rock in Rio for Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden came to Brazil for the first time in the inaugural edition of Rock in Rio, in 1985. Since then, the band has returned to the country several times, including at the event itself. More specifically, the Iron Maiden also participated in the festival in 2001, 2013 and, subsequently, 2019 and 2022.

Therefore, many fans expected the musicians to be part of the 2024 lineup, responsible for celebrating RiR’s 40 years of history. However, when the Japanese leg of “The Future Past World Tour” was announced last October, it became clear that this would not be possible due to scheduling conflicts.

In any case, Maiden ended up confirming the aforementioned tour shows in São Paulo, for December. These are unique commitments in the country.

Talking to Juliene Moretti for G1, Bruce Dickinson explained why the group will not play at the next Rock in Rio. According to the singer, the idea was to “take a break” from the festival and prioritize other places in the world at the same time.

“We played there a few times. So let’s take a break this year. We need some time to get down to Australia, New Zealand, Japan. We haven’t been there in a while. Let’s let another band headline Rock in Rio. Maybe in the next edition.”
