The journalist decided to be honest with the singer, who was releasing the album “Confessions on a dance floor”, and say that she didn’t have that good English. That’s how she won the Queen of Pop.
“They said he was an unfriendly person, I heard that Madonna had made fun of Marília Gabriela’s English. Xuxa also interviewed her and said that the experience was horrible, so I panicked,” she told the Memória Globo project.
So, Gloria was filled with courage and sent the real thing to the singer. “Look, Madonna, I have four minutes, I’m going to make a mistake in English, I’m scared, I think I’ve already lost four minutes.” To her surprise, the singer was understanding and asked her to take the necessary time in the interview.
During the interview, Madonna revealed a secret of her intimacy. Because she is a light sleeper, she got used to sleeping with only the fan on to muffle the sound. Furthermore, Madonna received Gloria Maria’s gift with affection, placing the stone necklace around her neck when she received the jewel from the reporter.
“Madonna opened the gift, saw that it was a stone in a necklace and immediately put it on. The singer continued giving all other interviews with the stone around her neck. Some time later, she said it was one of the gifts she liked the most”, reported Gloria.
She also classified the interview as one of the most rewarding moments in the profession. “There are many difficult things [na profissão], but there are moments that gratify you. Madonna is someone everyone painted as a monster and rude, but she was one of the kindest people I interviewed,” she declared.
