“On the morning of Wednesday, April 17th, completely out of the blue, I suffered another heart attack. Two ambulances attended my house and when they made sure I was stable, I was taken to the Abrantes Cardiac Intensive Care unit.

I had several blood tests, X-rays and cardiac ultrasound. It was decided that I should be taken to Lisbon for an angiogram when a space became available to determine the cause and possible further damage.

The angiogram results revealed that my double bypass was working well, however, two more valves were compromised and almost failing completely. The decision was immediately made to introduce two stents. The entire procedure was performed on the left wrist under local anesthesia.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the cardiologists and nursing staff in Abrantes and Lisbon for their excellent care and attention.
I am now recovering at home.

I must now inform everyone that for the foreseeable future I will not be performing live with Venom Inc at any immediate events. Of course I will continue to make music, it’s my therapy, and I will most likely annoy you all with it in the not too distant future. Once again, each of you has my eternal gratitude.”
