Kantar IBOPE Media officially confirmed this Friday (3) information about significant changes in its leadership in Brazil. After an internal transition process, the company announced the departure of Melissa Vogel from the role of CEO, a position she held for seven years, to explore new professional opportunities. To replace Vogel, Kantar IBOPE Media promoted Márcio Costa, until then Director of Operations for Latin America and member of the company for 13 years, to the position of general director. Along with Costa, Adriana Favaro, who served as Business Development Director for five years, now assumes the position of Commercial Vice President. These changes will be effective from May 15th.

Márcio Costa, upon assuming his new role, expressed his commitment to maintaining the company’s legacy. “I honor the legacy built on the success of our clients. We have opportunities that our consolidated and new portfolio builds, adding value and growth for our clients. With the talent of our team, we continue to advance with a solid innovation agenda, aware of our position in the market and in collaboration with the entire media ecosystem”, highlighted Costa.

In turn, Melissa Vogel shared her reflections on her journey. “For more than 27 years at Kantar IBOPE Media, and more recently, seven years as CEO, I have closely followed market changes. This journey was possible due to the strong relationships I created with extremely talented people, inside and outside the company. I leave confident of the solid path we have built. I am sure that Márcio and Adriana will continue the legacy of Kantar IBOPE Media”, he highlighted

Márcio Costa brings with him a vast experience of 25 years in the media industry, with executive stints at renowned companies such as MTV, São Paulo Turismo, Blue Tree Hotels and Fotótica. Graduated in Law from PUC-SP, Costa has postgraduate degrees in areas such as Contract Law, Labor Law and Tax Law from IBMEC, in addition to having a Master’s degree in Business Law from FGV and International Business Law from London University. His studies also include MBAs from FGV and Fundação Dom Cabral, complemented by a Post-MBA from Kellogg University.
