One of the biggest highlights of 2024 so far has arrived on streaming.

It was quite predictable that Denis Villeneuve would deliver a worthy sequel to Dune – but the arrival of Dune: Part 2 managed to completely exceed all expectations. Another great victory for the Canadian filmmaker known for titles such as The Usual Suspects, Arrival and Blade Runner 2049.

Dune 2 quickly surpassed its predecessor at the box office and has already grossed almost $700 million, impressing fans and critics alike with a visual feast that is particularly impressive on the cinema screen – and can now be seen at home: the film is available for purchase or rent on Prime Video.

This is the story of Dune: Part 2

Warner Bros.

After the events of the 2021 film, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and her mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), found shelter with the Fremen, and Paul begins to be seen by many as the prophesied messiah Lisan al Gaib, who will lead the people of the desert towards paradise. Meanwhile, Paul’s psychic abilities become increasingly strong – and predict an inevitable war against the Harkonnen and the Emperor (Christopher Walken).

In the QuandoCinema review, Dune: Part 2 received an impressive 4.5 star rating, described as “a great science fiction story and a memorable achievement in terms of adaptation.”
