Garanhuns (PE) – Visiting Expoagro Agreste, in this city in the interior of Pernambuco today (8), the superintendent of Sudene, Danilo Cabral, highlighted the Autarchy’s instruments for agriculture and agribusiness. Both regional funds and tax incentives can be accessed by these productive sectors.

The FNE (Constitutional Fund for Financing of the Northeast) and the FDNE (Fund for Development of the Northeast) have different interest rates on credit lines and offer advantages for entrepreneurs located in priority areas, such as the semi-arid region. The first serves family farmers, cooperatives and rural associations, agro-industries and industries, all of the most varied sizes. And the resources can be used to purchase equipment, working capital, irrigation projects, construction, expansion of improvements, for example.

FDNE is recommended for medium and large agro-industries and rural enterprises. “Agriculture is a great opportunity to strengthen the economy in our area of activity and it is important that we get closer to the sector to publicize our financing and incentive mechanisms”, stated Danilo Cabral at the opening of the event.

Sudene’s tax benefits allow attracting investments to the region. They are calculated based on Corporate Income Tax, in two forms: reduction of 75% of IRPJ and reinvestment of 30% of IRPJ. The resources must be used to launch a new venture, modernize your company, allow for expansion or diversify a new line of products.

Expoagro Agreste started today (8) and continues until next Sunday. It brings together representatives from the agricultural sector of Pernambuco, with exhibitors from various regions of the state and also from Alagoas. The Garanhuns region has around 3.5 million inhabitants, 101 thousand rural producers distributed across 50 municipalities, and an agricultural GDP of R$3.2 billion, with emphasis on dairy production and poultry farming.
