Event promoted this Saturday morning
The Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ) held, this Saturday morning (4), the award of the ABCZ Merit. The ceremony is part of the program of the 89th ExpoZebu and pays homage to personalities who work for the advancement of zebu farming in the national livestock scenario and international since 1977.
On the official platform at Parque Fernando Costa, in Uberaba, 19 honors were awarded, dividing the recipients into the ‘National’ categories, with representatives of zebu breeds; ‘International’, ‘Politician’, ‘Technical’, ‘Collaborator’ and ‘ABCZ Jovem’.
In a speech, the entity’s president, Gabriel Garcia Cid, congratulated the recipients and emphasized that it is a moment of recognition.
“As we look at each ABCZ 2024 Merit honoree, we are reminded of the strength and resilience of our people and our country. Whether in politics, education, the food industry, foreign trade, scientific research or sustainability, our activity moves the economy, creates jobs and strengthens our identity as an agricultural nation par excellence”, he said.
Rudolf Reich, who became famous as the breeder of the Simmental and Nelore breeds, becoming known in the segment in various parts of Western Europe and South America, was born in Switzerland on the border with Austria and Germany. And also, a little later, in the zebu race.
He is from the Pioneer North, especially Santo Antônio da Platina and Conselheiro Mairinck.
This Saturday, May 4th, there was the awarding of the Merit 2024, at the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ). It was at Parque Fernando Moraes, in Uberaba, in the interior of Minas Gerais.
Among the nominees and winners, the pioneering north Rudolph Reichreceived in the national category.
Among those present, the mayor of Platina, Professor Zezão, and the prosecutor Kely Baena.
Married to Maria Angela, Rudolf has four children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
