Income tax declaration time is hectic for both accountants and taxpayers. With just over a month left until the declaration deadline, choosing a trustworthy professional can be a challenge for clients who want to avoid a possible headache.
President of the CRC/MS (Regional Accounting Council), Otacílio dos Santos, explains that the Council is a supervisory body, and that it recommends that every client, when contracting the accounting advisory service, first seeks to know whether the professional is capable of function.
“There are ways for the accounting service contractor to know if that professional is qualified. The easiest way is to request the accountant’s identity card and look for the Professional Qualification Certificate on the website,” he explains. To access the service click here.
The deadline to declare Income Tax ends on May 31st. And the closer it gets to the end, the greater the demand for accountants for ‘IR latecomers’. Therefore, the offer ends up getting smaller.
Regular accountant
If the professional is in good standing, all information regarding professional registration will appear on the screen. But, if you have problems, a message appears asking the person to contact the CRC.
The service is national and can be consulted by any professional in the country. The president also clarifies that in cases of distrust, anyone can contact the Council to obtain information about the professional or make complaints.
According to Otacílio, there is no price list charged by professionals, for example. Each professional is free to price their work in Mato Grosso do Sul.

The injured businesswoman herself claims that her office continues to operate normally, even after the scam was discovered. According to police information, the man has a history of problems with customers.
