The Gazette | Drug leader and fugitive from ES is arrested in Bahia during national operation

A drug leader from Espírito Santo and a fugitive from Espírito Santo was arrested in Bahia during the national Operation Narké. The man, whose identity and the municipality where he worked was not disclosed, also has records for homicide, money laundering, criminal organization and drug trafficking, according to the Civil Police.

“He is considered a highly dangerous individual and was sentenced to definitive imprisonment. He is counted among the nine prisoners in Espírito Santo. We complied with arrest warrants to the detriment of drug traffickers with the potential to lead and distribute drugs”, said delegate Larissa Lacerda, deputy of the Specialized Narcotics Department (Denarc).

The Operation took place in all states of the country with a focus on combating drug trafficking. The action was coordinated by the Intelligence Operations Directorate (Diopi) of the Public Security Secretariat (Senasp) of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), from April 22 to 26.

In addition to the man from Espírito Santo arrested in the Northeast of the country, the corporation served an arrest warrant against a man from Bahia who lived in ES. Eight other suspects from the state were also arrested, seven of them with warrants already issued. One is a murderer who runs drug trafficking in Boa Vista, in Cariacica. Two ended up being taken by the police team for being caught in the act.

In one of the cases, agents arrived at the home of a person suspected of selling drugs due to complaints. However, they found four skank feet at the scene. “There we found the greenhouse he produced and products for packaging. It was just a search warrant and led to the arrest in the act”, explained the delegate. In another residence, the PC found a marijuana plant, taken by the police.

National operation Nárke (Civil Police)

Another ended up being sent to the prison system after throwing a gun and cell phone out of the window of a building, in Jesus de Nazareth, in Vitória. The police went to the residence looking for a woman involved with signs of involvement in the world of crime. However, a man saw people in uniform and ended up reporting himself.

“He saw the police and started throwing away what he had at home to avoid being arrested. We saw him and when he arrived at the apartment we found: radio communicator, drugs, precision scales, drug packaging. He thought we were after him,” said the delegate.

During the Operation, police officers worked to prevent crimes by going to neighborhoods with possible drug trafficking hotspots. “We qualify suspected individuals and people for future operations. Throughout the year we will have new phases and the Specialized Narcotics Department (Denarc) in Espírito Santo hopes to contribute significantly”, highlighted the Denarc deputy.
