Madonna demands and Globo broadcasts show delayed on TV – 05/04/2024 – Television

A request from Madonna made Globo broadcast the singer’s show held this Saturday (4) on Copacabana beach, south of Rio de Janeiro, with an unusual delay for events shown on open TV.

On television, the exhibition led by Marcos Mion and Kenya Sade started the presentation 12 minutes apart from what was actually happening on the sands of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

Madonna took the stage at 10:36 pm, while at Globo, she only started to release her voice at around 10:48 pm. The pop diva and her team demanded this delay for emergency reasons.

If there is a problem during the performance or emergency, this moment may not be shown on the official show sign. This request has become very common among great artists.

At the end of last year, for example, at the request of Ivete Sangalo, Globo also broadcast a show marking the Brazilian singer’s 30th birthday with a 10-minute delay compared to what was happening at Maracanã, where the event was held.

Globo’s broadcast started at 9:20 pm. Mion and Keyna Sade had to deceive the audience and showed some reports due to Madonna being almost 40 minutes late in starting the performance.

The show’s image generation was entirely designed by Globo in partnership with director Jonas Akerlund, Madonna’s longtime collaborator.
