Isabelle Nogueira made history in BBB24. The participant, who finished in 3rd place in the competition for the grand prize of the TV Globo reality show, brought the culture of Amazonas and the Parintins Festival into the program. Now, she is preparing to participate in the event, which takes place in June this year, while dealing with the chaotic post-war moment.BBB.

In an interview with Marie Claire, the dancer gave details of her career with the celebration of Brazilian folklore, shared plans for the future and also revealed how her relationship with her brothers is going after the end of the reality show. Which includes her romance with Matteus, her friendship with Davi and controversies with Alane and Deniziane.

MARIE CLAIRE How is the post-BBB? Is it what you expected?
ISABELLE NOGUEIRA
It’s been more than I expected. Inside the house we have no information about the outside world. I didn’t realize all this affection, so I feel very loved and welcomed.

MC You had one of the warmest receptions among the ex-BBB‘s upon returning home. What do you think made you gain this fan following and connect with so many people from your homeland?
IN
I think the fact that my cultural representation impacts Brazil. Arriving here, I really had this confirmation that I showed how proud I am of where I came from. I ended up involving the northern people, the people of Amazonas and this cultural representation. I also believe that my position in the game helped with this connection, as it was very calm, flexible and always full of dialogue.

MC This week you made your first performance with Boi Garantido after the BBB24. How was this experience? Have you already prepared again for the festival that takes place in June?
IN
I’m still trying to fit everything together. It’s very recent. It’s been practically 15 days since we returned to this external world, so everything is very intense. But I’m getting ready, I’m back with my training. This presentation was an incredible party, being able to feel the energy of my embodied people is surreal. There will be some events, some rehearsals, and this first appearance was very important, because it was in the cradle of our folklore, which is in Parintins. It was packed with people, it was a beautiful party, I was very happy.

MC Your participation in the program gave a lot of visibility to the festival, especially for those who didn’t know about it. It was his main objective in BBB shine a light on Amazonian culture?
IN
The main objective happened very naturally. I’ve experienced the festival since I was a child, so it was natural to talk about something so beautiful when I got there [na casa]. I just wish people could somehow have access to something so beautiful., so I ended up speaking very naturally and teaching about the event, which became an agenda there. When we know something like this we need to share it with people. It wasn’t intentional.

MC How is your relationship with the Parintins Festival? Have you been going since you were little? How did you achieve the position of Cunhã-Poranga do Boi Garantido?
IN
I already experienced this with my grandmother. It is a very popular festival, especially for the people of the interior, and ended up taking on a capital proportion. My mother took me when I was a child and I started participating in the dance group to try out all the choreographies. Then, I really started dancing, there were some competitions to participate in the festival and I ended up winning one of those. So, first I became Queen of Folklore and soon after I was invited to be Cunhã-Poranga.

MC Do you have any memories related to the festival that left a deep impression on you?
IN
When I arrive at the allegory, at that point, it gives me an overwhelming feeling, butterflies in my stomach. But when the girl opens [as alas]when I come across my fans, with all those people there waiting to enjoy the festival, I just feel the adrenaline and a lot of emotion from the impact.

MC In this week’s presentation, a joke between Boi Garantido and Boi Caprichoso went viral on the internet, comparing him to Alane, saying that Caprichoso was also “a liar and emptied agendas”. What did you think of this joke and how is your relationship with her after the program?
IN
Everything that happened within the program was there for me. It takes place on a completely different platform, different logistics and a lot of intensity. So we are also talking about a game, about a confinement, you understand reactions and attitudes that are taken within a confinement and that would not happen outside.

There isn’t a player I don’t have contact with. Thank God, I have everyone’s affection and they also have mine. I have no enmity with anyone. Even those who said something, then we talked about how we behave differently inside than out here. Instigating some kind of rivalry does not represent me, because it has nothing to do with what I believe.

MC Many people try to promote this female rivalry between you and Alane, or between you and Deniziane. How do you avoid “buying into” this rivalry and protect yourself?
IN
For my life story, because I was raised by a mother who was a very warrior, single, alone, I carry her strength a lot. I know what many women go through, especially in times of distress. I saw my mother distressed, often accompanied by my grandmother, so we were very united and close women. This female rivalry that they try to somehow achieve doesn’t bother me at all. Anyone who watched me on the program for 100 days knows who I am. I really have this issue of putting myself in someone else’s shoes, because only one woman knows what the other feels, there is no comparison. No one is the same, we are all women and completely unique, the Warrior made us fearless in his own way. So I wouldn’t buy this plot and I don’t buy it.

MC You spoke about your mother and grandmother’s journey and how they took you to the Festival. What is this female participation like at the Parintins Festival, especially in production?
IN
I’m not going to lie, something I always say is: “We can have more space“. We can and will conquer more spaces. The voice of the protagonist of the Parintins Festival is now largely due to dance, some women are still included in the context of singing too.

“We can have an extra space” – Isabelle Nogueira

MC How are you and Matteus? Have you decided to pursue a serious relationship?
IN
I would really like it to work. We live at a very large distance and this is our only adversity, because we have a very incredible affection for each other, a unique harmony. So it’s delicate, but we talk and talk about plans for the future, even in the midst of post-war instability.BBB. For now, there has not yet been an agreement to define our relationship.

MC You also had a strong relationship with Davi, who is going through a turbulent period after winning the BBB24. Did you welcome and advise him at that time?
IN
Yes, we talk practically every day. He’s been going through some things in his personal life and I’m also going through issues at home. I want to have the opportunity to watch some of our scenes soon.

MC And how do you intend to spend the prize awarded for 3rd place in the program? What are your plans for the future?
IN
I hope to pay for my mother’s surgery soon, God willing, and invest this amount to realize my dream of having my own home. I will also take advantage of the opportunities that are appearing with advertising. Things are moving forward, I just need to stay calm. At this moment, more than ever, we should talk and try to be less anxious about experiencing everything that comes our way. And more than ever, show the world the strength of our culture through this festival that will be huge. I’m also going to try to go back to studying, I really like the field of Communication, who knows…
