Maddy Baloy, a prominent social media figure who shared her journey facing end-stage cancer, has passed away at the age of 26. The news was confirmed by People magazine, which closely followed the young woman’s struggle.

“Madison left us last night surrounded by love,” declared Louis Risher, the influencer’s fiance, in a statement issued on Thursday, 2. He also shared that Maddy left while he held her hand.

“Actually, yesterday was my 27th birthday. I spent the whole day holding her hand and that was all I needed,” she commented.

Maddy had a fan base of over 400,000 followers and 7 million likes on TikTok. Through this platform, she documented her life and shared the details of her diagnosis, treatment and disease progression.

In one of her videos, she had discussed the challenges faced in getting a diagnosis. Initially, it was believed that she was suffering from a stomach virus, especially since she worked at a children’s school in Florida.

After the pain persisted, she sought medical help and was diagnosed with tumors in the large intestine. Although she underwent a few surgeries and chemotherapy sessions, her condition continued to worsen. His last appearance on social media took place in March.
