Scheduled for this Saturday night (4), an interview between former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his son Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) with North American influencer Mario Nawafal, via the Spaces platform, available within X (formerly Twitter), can only be accessed with a VPN service.
VPN technology simulates a user’s access to the internet as if they were in another country. That is, if a user simply accesses the https://twitter.com/MarioNawfal/status/1786917557829537980 from a computer or cell phone in Brazil, at first, he will not be able to hear the interview.
Several people said they were unable to listen to the interview using their devices in Brazil. Representative Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) said, in English: “No sound in Brazil”. Political commentator Fabiana Barroso confirmed this, stating: “In Brazil only with VPN”.
President Jair Bolsonaro managed to connect to the interview at approximately 10:25 pm (Brasília time), on a floating hotel in Rio Negro in Amazonas. “I spent four years being accused of preaching censorship. During the election campaign, almost all the pages taken down were those that supported me during the elections. Now censorship is expanding in Brazil.”
