The best-selling cars in April 2024

The automobile and light commercial vehicle market increased by 18.24% compared to the previous month, reaching 208,078 units. The volume is 37.17% higher than that of the same period in 2023.

In total, Brazil is already 17.49% higher with 691,370 units sold, which is promising for a good closing of 2024. In terms of brands, Fiat has more than 20% of the market, followed by VW and GM with 16% and 14%, respectively.

Toyota, Hyundai and Renault appear next, with Jeep, Honda and Nissan following. BYD established itself as the tenth best-selling brand, leaving behind Caoa Chery, which despite having a good month, was unable to overtake its Chinese rival.

Ford overtook Citroën, while GWM remained ahead of Ram, which left Mitsubishi almost tied. Peugeot went down the slope and only lost to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Kia in the Fenabrave Top 21 ranking.

In cars, the Polo is in its glory days, leaving Onix, HB20 and Argo far behind, while the T-Cross proved to be the best-selling SUV, just like the Onix Plus being the most sold sedan.

The Dolphin Mini is the best-selling electric car and also in the Top 20, while its brother Song Plus is the best-selling hybrid. But, again, of all the 80 cars we have on this list, without a doubt, the 911 is surprising with more than 200 cars… There are already 600 sold in 2024.

In the light commercials, Strada continues as always, with Saveiro and Hilux in its wake, in addition to Toro no longer having the strength to compete with the Japanese.

Direct sales in April represented 47.70% of total sales, with Fiat having 26.29% of registrations, followed by VW with 21.43%. The Polo was also the best-selling car in direct sales with more than 9 thousand units.
