  • Workers who have been registered with PIS/Pasep for at least five years.
  • Those who formally worked for at least 30 days in the base year (2022), with an average salary of up to two minimum wages.
  • It is necessary that personal data has been duly reported by the employer through the Annual Social Information List (RAIS).

The amount received by the worker will be proportional to the length of service in 2022, counting each month of formal work as part of the benefit. Working a full year can mean receiving a full minimum wage as a bonus.

How to Consult and Withdraw Your PIS/PASEP

Before going to bank branches or attempting online banking, it is important to check your eligibility and understand the withdrawal steps.

  • Access the Digital Work Card application or the Gov.br portal and log in.
  • Select the ‘Benefits’ option and then ‘Salary Allowance’.
  • Check if your base year (2022) is correctly selected and check if you are entitled to receive the allowance.

If you are entitled to a withdrawal, private sector workers will be able to check the deposit in their Caixa Econômica Federal accounts, depending on their month of birth. Pasep beneficiaries, mostly public servants or state-owned companies, will have their benefits administered by Banco do Brasil.

Payment Dates and Methods

The period to withdraw the benefit began in February and will continue until August 15, 2024, depending on the month of birth or the final benefit registration number. After this date, a special call from the Ministry of Work and Pensions will be required for withdrawals outside the regular calendar.

For greater transparency and practicality, the Federal Government ensures that all information is easily accessible, allowing Brazilian workers to prove their eligibility and prepare to receive benefits without complications.

Importance of the Salary Bonus in the Economy

The salary bonus works not only as a reinforcement of the worker’s income, but also plays a vital role in the movement and stabilization of the local economy. This payment helps maintain families’ purchasing power, promoting consumption and helping in the recovery of commercial sectors affected by economic crises. The distribution of these resources by the Government is an essential strategy for maintaining social well-being and encouraging the formal job market in Brazil.

With this information, it is expected that all workers entitled to PIS/PASEP can take advantage of the benefit effectively and safely, thus contributing to their financial well-being and that of the community in general.
